d&b audiotechnik introduces genetic engineering of a different kind at NAMM 2019.
For a second year the d&b audiotechnik team will be heading to NAMM 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center, California. From 24-27 January booth #17915 and demo room #204A will be alive with all the latest developments from the German pro audio company, including the international introduction of the SL-Series’ KSL System, a line array offering nothing short of full range directivity control to sound reinforcement projects of any genre, medium or large, mobile or installed.
KSL embodies the same technical innovation and performance capabilities of its ground-breaking big sister GSL, launched earlier this year, in an accessible size and performance package. Featuring all the recognizable benefits of its Special Loudspeaker lineage KSL provides full broadband directivity control, an extended LF response, and advanced rigging options all wholly aligned with the d&b Workflow.
Joining KSL at the booth will be a selection of products from the truly comprehensive d&b portfolio, including the flyable SL-SUB, with two forward facing 21” drivers and a single, rear facing 21” for cardioid dispersion in the low end. The highly flexible Y-Series will be on display as will industry favorites E12, T10, xC column loudspeaker, M4, and an open V7P – revealing the true nature of this multi award winning point source. The well-bred D80 amplifier will also be present, the full potential of which can be explored with some hands on time at the d&b Workflow island. Taking users comfortably through design and optimization to control, the integrated workflow is a trusted accomplice for realizing the full potential of system and user alike.
Meanwhile down the hall in the demo room, anyone who’s explored the d&b Soundscape corner at the booth can get fully immersed in this problem-solving toolkit in an insightful theory, practice, and listening session taking place twice each day at 12:00 and 4:00pm. With the DS100 Signal engine at its heart, Soundscape is something of a creative portal in the d&b Workflow, for realizing more natural source positioning, easing every day audio struggles, or creating works of pure imagination.
At 10:00am and 2:00pm each day of the show, demo room visitors can join the d&b team on a journey exploring the benefits and scalability of d&b systems, looking particularly at the technological trajectory of d&b products and software that has led to the inauguration of KSL into the portfolio.
And when the product exploration’s over, visitors are invited to take time and relax in the d&b booth’s reception area and meeting space, where the team will be on hand for questions and advice.
With the introduction of the KSL package, the conscientious, holistic thinking at the heart of what d&b does, has never been more evident. NAMM is a great opportunity to experience first hand the comfort and ease of working with d&b, and is a great way for the d&b team, together with the company’s expert partners, to make that first hello a little easier.
