Wigwam Acoustics named 2013 Installation Team of the Year at inaugural Pro Sound Awards.

d&b audiotechnik GB Partner, Wigwam Acoustics has been named in New Bay Media’s first annual Pro Sound Awards, which took place at the Ministry of Sound nightclub in London in September. More than two hundred guests attended the awards ceremony to celebrate professional excellence in four sectors of the pro audio industry: installation, studio, broadcast and live/touring sound.

The Wigwam team, which recently completed a d&b installation at York University’s Central Hall, has a reputation for working with listed buildings, including the prestigious cathedrals in Liverpool, Lincoln and Salisbury.

On collecting the award, Wigwam Director Mick Spratt commented: “People often think of us as just a rental company, so this award is great for the installation lads. Wigwam has carried out installations for the last thirty years, but the hard work of Phil Goldsworthy and the rest of the team over the last three years is really paying dividends.” The award acknowledges the team’s five members including Goldsworthy, David Orridge, Nigel Comrie, Tim Mortimer and Spratt himself.
