Luxury at Shanghai's Luxe club
Located in the Xintiandi shopping mall, Luxe is probably one of Shanghai's coolest club lounges in the Chinese metropolis, and has definitely raised the bar for high-end Xintiandi entertaining. The world-famous DJ Paul Oakenfold hosted a party to formally inaugurate the venue's opening, which required the adjacent premier pool hall Racks on the night to cater for the huge audience that amassed.
Dragon Studio were contracted to install and commission the audio equipment into the Luxe club. The d&b audiotechnik compact E12 loudspeaker was deemed as the best solution for the venue's low ceiling, of which twelve were installed. A further six E15X-SUBs and four B2 subwoofers more than augment the lower frequencies, for which four D12 and three D6 amplifiers supply the watts required to the complete loudspeaker set-up, whilst management is handled by an XTA DP446 signal processor. A MAX loudspeaker has been installed in the DJ booth.
Owing to the larger area provided on the night of the Paul Oakenfold party, Shanghai Audio Rental supplied a total of sixteen d&b audiotechnik Q1 loudspeakers together with eight Q and four B2 subwoofers to complement the installed PA system.
